A full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for the complete school year at an elementary level within a K-12 school setting in Livermore, CA. This contract position involves working across multiple schools, providing essential speech and language services that support student development and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and educational staff to support student progress
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student performance and therapy sessions
- Provide guidance and supervision to Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), including sharing certification information as required
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights toward student goals
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA or current CFY status
- Experience in school-based speech-language pathology services
- Strong knowledge of and ability to apply educational regulations and practices
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with school staff and families
