About The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our growing team. As our second product designer, you’ll play a key role in identifying opportunities, shaping the vision of our product, and making sure we’re delivering highly crafted, intuitive, and impactful products that delight. In this role, you’ll lead design of complex, data-rich products and features across multiple workflows and user types. From detailed interaction design to system architecture, visual craft, and the full research & prototyping lifecycle. You’ll collaborate closely with your design team, product, engineers, and customer-facing teams to craft and deliver intuitive interfaces that balance aesthetics with powerful functionality.
What You'll Do
- Lead product design for core product experiences and new feature development
- Define holistic user journeys and system wide workflows, anticipating edge states, product overlaps, and long-term architectural implications
- Design solutions that scale across highly specialized user groups, accounting for differing goals, workflows, and needs
- Drive end-to-end user research including planning, interviewing, synthesis, and insight translation to inform product direction and UX decisions
- Build and iterate prototypes; conduct usability testing; and refine flows based on qualitative and quantitative feedback
- Map complex, end-to-end workflows and design dashboards, reporting surfaces, and workflow optimizations that support data-driven decision making
- Utilize, evolve, and extend Plenful’s design system to ensure consistency, scalability, and high quality visual craft across the product
- Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Solutions to ensure alignment, uncover edge cases, and shape feasible, user centered solutions
- Participate in customer calls and demos to gather real world context and anticipate emerging needs
- Balance rapid iteration with long term system thinking, ensuring immediate impact without sacrificing long term strategy
Experience
What We're looking for
- 5-8+ years of full-time product design experience
- A strong portfolio of relevant design work that demonstrates high visual craft, interaction design, and systems thinking skills – and an ability to execute polished, holistic, production ready experiences
- A background designing analytics, reporting, or process-automation workflows and interfaces within complex, regulation heavy, or risk sensitive domains (eg. B2B healthcare, fintech, climate tech)
- End to end ownership of meaningful features or product surfaces
- Experience independently running user research – planning studies, selecting appropriate methods, synthesizing insights, and iterating through prototypes
- A collaborative mindset – low ego about your designs and open to feedback
Additional Skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with experience working across Product, Engineering, and Customer facing teams to bring products to life
- Ability to handle immediate complexity and solve problems in fast-paced, evolving environments
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and driving clarity
- Able to shift seamlessly between rapid iteration and long-term systems thinking
Nice to Have
- Experience with 340B, pharmacy operations, or healthcare revenue cycle workflows
- Familiarity with AI-assisted workflows, automation builders, rules engines, operations tooling, or no-code platforms
Miscellaneous
- A genuine interest in healthcare and making the industry more efficient
- Excitement to see and learn the company building process firsthand alongside dedicated, hardworking, fun loving team members
- A bias toward action and enjoyment working in a dynamic, fast moving environment
Plenful Perks
- Great benefits include unlimited PTO, health insurance, meal stipend, health & wellness stipend, team offsites, 401K matching, and stock options
- Join an all-star team with direct access to executive leadership
- Opportunities to further develop and refine your partnership acumen by partnering with our seasoned leaders
- Hybrid work environment with 2 days in office in San Francisco, CA
