Job Summary
Capable of proficient operation of all manual tool room / metrology related equipment used in manufacture / repairing of injection molds, injection blow molds and any related equipment to support production.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Complete understanding of shop math related to performance of all machining applications or related duties.
- Capable of interpreting blueprints required in performance of tool room duties, assemble / disassemble, fabricate, fit, repair all injection molding, injection blow molding components.
- Operation of all manual tool room machines with high degree of efficiency. Must be competent with lathe work, milling, drilling, sawing and precision grinding.
- Perform all mold preventive maintenance functions.
- Advise Tool Room Supervisor of any possible delay or quality issues with work related duties.
- Possess good working knowledge of metals relevant to machining and heat-treating.
- Capable of performance of all lower classification duties.
- Capable of training / assisting team members.
- Actively participate and comply with all West HSE programs and regulations.
- Maintain a neat and orderly work environment in accordance with West 5S program.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education - High School Diploma or GED Required.
- Technical certificate in Precision Machining/Mechanical Engineering preferred.
Work Experience
- 2 years’ experience in a tool shop and metrology related field is preferred.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Demonstrative knowledge of variability, numerical reasoning and computer applications.
- Ability to operate a Powered Industrial Truck.
- Able to be aware of all relevant standard operating procedures as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description.
- Support and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target.
- Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times.
- Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.

Physical Requirements
Light-Exerting up to 20lbs/9kg of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force frequently constantly to move objects.
Shift
This position is Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM.
