The Staff Pricing Analyst will support regional customer pricing and day-to-day activities to maintain and expand new business within the McKesson Pharmaceutical Solutions & Services organization.
This individual will collaborate with the Regional Sales organization to conduct financial analyses to determine customer, program, and item-level profitability for regional customers. The Pricing Analyst will need to build strong working relationships with external/internal clients to maintain engagement and enable pricing decisions based on market shifts and consolidation. A total package of qualities to be successful in the role will include sales support, strong financial acumen, data analysis, customer relationship, and project management skills to make swift, yet informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform customer level pricing analysis for regional customers
- Provide recurring customer analysis to support Finance and Sales organizations
- Build and maintain Sales relationships resulting in customer retention and stability/increase of sales to maximize share of wallet
Minimum Requirements
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience.
Education
Bachelors Finance or related field or equivalent experience
Critical Skills
- 2+ years accounting, finance, finance analytics or similar experience
- Understanding of business management including P&L, ROI, and break-even analysis
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Project management skills with ability to complete priorities as directed
- Ability to navigate through issues, understand, interpret, and transform financial data as directed
- Ability to build basic pricing models using a cloud-based modeling tool (Beginner to Intermediate level)
- Strong presentation skills
Additional Knowledge & Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Motivated self-starter: ability to initiate and manage projects under normal supervision
- Critical thinking and problem resolution skills
- Previous healthcare, Pharma experience, pharmaceuticals, and payer reimbursements (preferred)
- Ability to perform and deliver quality results within a highly matrix environment
- Experience supporting sales teams (preferred)
