Objective Of Role
Build robust quality systems and drive continuous improvement that strengthens product integrity, enhances process capability, and elevates customer satisfaction. Collaborate across teams to ensure compliance, tackle root causes, and deliver sustainable solutions. Partner with leaders and auditors to uphold ISO 9001 standards, embed quality into every process, and engage directly with vendors through on-site visits to strengthen partnerships, support audits, and champion improvement initiatives.
What You Will Do
- Quality System Support
- Assist in maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with ISO standards.
- Support internal and external audits, document control, compliance activities and corrective action requests.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of quality procedures, work instructions, and control plans.
- Data Analysis & Problem Solving
- Collect, analyze, and report on quality metrics (scrap, yield, defects, etc.) to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Data sources include FTPR, NCRs, customer concerns, repair, and warranty.
- Lead or support structured problem-solving efforts using tools such as 8D, Fishbone, FMEA, Risk-based thinking and Root Cause Analysis.
- Conduct capability studies and statistical analysis to validate process improvements.
- Customer & Supplier Quality
- Support resolution of customer complaints through timely investigation and corrective action.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming material quality and drive supplier corrective actions when needed.
- Assist in PPAP documentation and submission for new product launches and engineering changes.
- Conduct on-site and remote audits and assessments as appropriate.
- Continuous Improvement
- Participate in cross-functional improvement teams focused on waste reduction and process optimization.
- Integrate ITW Toolbox principles (80/20, simplification, standard work, visual management, 5S) in daily activities.
- Support implementation of error-proofing and process control measures focused on defect prevention.
- Develop meaningful metrics tailored to individual processes.
- Reduce costs through lower scrap, rework, defects and eliminating non-value-added activity.
- Operational Support
- Conduct inspections, audits, and verifications to ensure product and process compliance.
- Support calibration and maintenance of inspection, measuring, and test equipment (IMTE).
- Assist production and engineering teams with quality-related issues and training.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing quality role.
- Working knowledge of QMS, SPC, PPAP, FMEA, and root cause analysis tools.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to coordinate across departments and variety of personalities; ability to influence decision-making.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality software tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ISO 9001 and previous auditing experience.
- Certification in Six Sigma, CQE, or similar quality disciplines.
- Familiarity with design of experiments and advanced statistical methods.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
- Occasional travel 25-50% (up to 20%) as needed for customer visits, training and meetings while keeping up with daily communications and responsibilities
- Standard business hours are expected with flexibility required during critical projects or product support issues
- May be required to lift up to 25 pounds.

Salary Range: $68,400 - $85,000 per year
