A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist skilled in school-based services located in Austin, TX. This role involves working within a school environment to support students' developmental, sensory, and motor needs through therapeutic interventions tailored to individual goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for students
- Implement therapeutic activities that enhance students functional skills in the classroom environment
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other IEP team members to optimize student progress
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
- Adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs and foster independence
Qualifications And Experience
- Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working in school settings preferred
- Ability to assess and treat developmental and sensory-motor challenges in children
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with school staff and families
- Knowledge of IEP procedures and school regulations
