Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Pay Range: $65,000 - $85,000 per year
Summary
The Maintenance Supervisor is a hands-on leader responsible for the daily operation of the maintenance department. This role oversees a team while also working directly on critical tasks to ensure equipment reliability, facility upkeep, and operational efficiency. The Maintenance Supervisor drives maintenance excellence through proactive planning, continuous improvement, and strong engagement on the production floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and work alongside maintenance machinists, electricians, parts attendants, and support staff to ensure timely and effective execution of maintenance activities.
- Serve as a hands-on technician and leader, actively troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment and systems as needed.
- Foster a strong safety-focused culture and ensure compliance with company safety standards and practices.
- Develop, implement, and enhance predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.
- Apply reliability engineering principles, root-cause analysis, and advanced troubleshooting to drive lasting solutions.
- Participate in and support continuous improvement programs, including Lean Sigma initiatives focused on waste reduction, equipment performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Build and maintain maintenance best practices that reduce unplanned downtime and improve overall asset performance.
- Assist with managing the departmental budget, including labor, materials, and capital needs.
- Source and obtain parts, supplies, and services as needed.
- Communicate policies, procedures, and expectations effectively to ensure team alignment and accountability.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing maintenance team.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, structural, HVAC, and plant utility systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn maintenance-related software systems.
- Bilingual Spanish/English or Polish/English is a plus.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance, electrical or mechanical repair, troubleshooting, and PLC diagnostics in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and other industrial material-handling equipment preferred.
- Experience managing and executing preventive, predictive, and precision maintenance programs.
- Strong PLC and servo drive troubleshooting experience preferred.
- OSHA 30 completion is a plus.
