Our network includes positions supporting diverse communication needs including: articulation and phonological disorders, expressive and receptive language delays, stuttering and fluency disorders, voice and resonance issues, social communication challenges, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) needs, and feeding/swallowing concerns. Standard caseloads range from 40-50 students with 35-37.5 weekly work hours across elementary, middle, and high school populations.
Key Responsibilities: Performing comprehensive speech-language assessments using standardized tools and clinical observation Writing thorough evaluation reports with diagnostic impressions and recommendations Creating measurable IEP goals aligned with students' communication needs Providing individual and group therapy sessions via secure video conferencing Implementing evidence-based intervention strategies for various communication disorders Collecting ongoing data to measure student progress toward therapy objectives Consulting with teachers, families, and support staff on communication strategies Attending IEP meetings and participating in eligibility determinations Maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal requirements Staying current with best practices in pediatric speech-language pathology.
Essential Qualifications: You need your ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), active licensure in Michigan, a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, and at least 2 years of school-based experience. Prior teletherapy experience is advantageous, along with strong technology skills, excellent communication abilities for virtual collaboration, and understanding of special education processes and IEP development.
