This opportunity is for a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology to support two campusesone elementary and one intermediate or middle schoolin a K-12 setting located in Cypress, TX. The position is contract-based for the current school year, offering a meaningful role in supporting students' educational and emotional needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct approximately two evaluations per week to assess students psychological, cognitive, and social-emotional needs.
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, staffings, and Manifestation Determination Reviews (MDRs) to develop and adjust individualized education plans.
- Collaborate with mental health specialists who provide related counseling services.
- Serve both an elementary and an intermediate/middle school campus, balancing caseloads and supporting diverse student populations.
Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) credential issued by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists.
- Masters degree or higher in School Psychology or related field from an accredited institution.
- Experience working within K-12 school settings, preferably servicing multiple campuses.
- Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply to better serve the diverse student community.
- Strong skills in psychological evaluation, report writing, and collaboration with multidisciplinary educational teams.
Location:
- On-site work required in Cypress, TX within the K-12 school district. Virtual or hybrid arrangements are not permitted for this role.
