As a remote school psychologist, you'll provide comprehensive evaluation, consultation, and intervention services to students in a fully virtual environment.
Position Overview
This remote school psychologist role typically involves 35-37.5 hours per week, serving students across elementary through high school grade levels. You'll manage a caseload of approximately 45-55 students, conducting psychoeducational assessments, developing behavior intervention plans, and collaborating with teachers and families to support student success. The virtual format allows you to deliver these critical services while maintaining flexibility in your work environment.
Primary Responsibilities
Your work will center on conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations to determine student eligibility for special education services. You'll interpret assessment data, write detailed evaluation reports, and present findings during IEP team meetings. Additionally, you'll provide consultation to teachers and parents regarding student behavior, learning challenges, and social-emotional needs. Crisis intervention support and participation in school-based problem-solving teams are also key components of this position.
Essential Qualifications
Candidates must hold an active New Mexico school psychologist license and possess a Master's degree in School Psychology or related field. A minimum of two years of school-based experience is required, demonstrating your ability to conduct evaluations, interpret results, and make educational recommendations. Experience with virtual service delivery is valued, along with proficiency in video conferencing platforms and electronic documentation systems. Strong communication skills are essential for effectively collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a remote setting.
