A school-based occupational therapist is needed to provide evaluation support within a K-8 educational setting in Anaheim, CA. This position is a contract role focusing on completing evaluations, working closely alongside the current district occupational therapist to help reduce a backlog. The role is per diem, with an immediate need for three evaluations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for students in grades K-8.
- Collaborate with the districts current OT to prioritize and complete the backlog of evaluations.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation in accordance with district and regulatory standards.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications
- Licensed occupational therapist with experience in school-based settings, preferably K-8.
- Strong assessment and evaluation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to manage workload effectively.
- Familiarity with educational regulations and individualized education program (IEP) processes.
