Our client is seeking an experienced Pharmacist-in-Charge to oversee and direct all pharmacy operations at their Cedar Rapids location. This leader will ensure organizational goals are met, maintain financial stability, develop long-term strategies, and guide the pharmacy management team. This position has the potential to be a Direct-Hire role for the right candidate.
Schedule:
- Day shift schedule
- Must be willing to provide 24-hour direction to employees and pharmacy services as the PIC
Term of Assignment: 13 weeks temp to perm (Direct-Hire considered)
Job Duties:
- Ensure adequate staffing levels to maintain scheduled hours of operation
- Step in to perform duties of pharmacy personnel when needed
- Provide direct oversight of all dispensing activities for pharmaceuticals, supplies, and equipment
- Ensure compliance with PROMPTCARE policies, state and federal regulations, and accreditation standards
- Assist with developing, reviewing, and revising policies and procedures
- Oversee orientation, training, and competency development for pharmacy staff
- Participate in on-site inspections, survey readiness, and accreditation processes
- Communicate effectively with staff and leadership; work at a computer for extended periods; perform occasional lifting, filing, bending, and standing tasks
Requirements:
- B.S. or PharmD from an accredited School of Pharmacy
- Active Iowa Pharmacist License (additional state licenses a plus)
- 4+ years of recent clinical pharmacy experience
- Home Infusion experience required
- 2+ years of recent clinical pharmacy management experience
- Knowledge of CPR+ software preferred
