A full-time High School Special Education teaching position is available for the 2025-2026 school year within a dynamic educational environment. This role requires a dedicated professional to support and educate high school students with special needs, implementing individualized learning strategies to promote academic and social growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver tailored instructional plans for students with disabilities in a high school setting.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff to address students educational and behavioral goals.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Utilize evidence-based teaching methods and assistive technologies to foster an inclusive classroom.
- Monitor and assess student performance, providing feedback and interventions as needed.
Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Learning Behavior Specialist I (LBS1) endorsement.
- Experience working with high school students in special education preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
