An opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) practicing under VOCO CA standards. This full-time, contract role spans a full semester and focuses on providing telespeech and teletherapy services to elementary students, primarily ranging from kindergarten to 6th grade, with some preschool and transitional preschool involvement.
Position Responsibilities Include
- Providing comprehensive speech-language pathology services to students in a speech-only room setting.
- Managing caseloads across two elementary sites, spending three days at one site and two days at another.
- Supervising Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) at the primary site.
- Collaborating with existing SLP personnel at both locations to ensure continuity and quality of care.
- Maintaining an excellent online presence to facilitate teletherapy sessions.
- Completing required Live Scan fingerprinting as mandated for positions in California.
- Case managing assigned students.
Candidates Should Possess
- A current SLP Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) licensed in California.
- Proven experience working with preschool and elementary-aged children.
- Strong skills in telespeech and teletherapy service delivery.
- Ability to efficiently supervise SLPAs while juggling responsibilities between two sites.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, especially for online service provision.
This assignment is based in North Hollywood, CA, and requires residency within the state to meet compliance requirements. The role offers hands-on experience in diverse educational settings, supporting students speech and language development in a dynamic learning environment.
