A contract opportunity is available for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) within an elementary school setting in Winnetka, Illinois. This role focuses on providing behavioral support and interventions to elementary students, working closely with school staff and families to implement effective behavior plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement behavioral intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst or Behavior Specialist
- Monitor and document student progress, providing data collection and analysis
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to promote positive behaviors in the classroom
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines related to student care and behavior support
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to developing individualized student goals
Qualifications And Experience
- Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification is required
- Experience working within a school or educational setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage time effectively and work independently while following structured intervention plans
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and data collection methods
Location and Schedule:
- Elementary school in Winnetka, Illinois (North Chicago area)
- Contract position for the 2025/2026 school year (ASAP to June 12, 2026)
- Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week
- Hours: 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM with a 30-minute lunch break and two 15-minute breaks
