About the Role
Rx relief is seeking an experienced Pharmacist to support sterile production operations within a high-volume compounding pharmacy in the Central Valley, CA. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the quality, accuracy, and compliance of all sterile compounded medications prepared in accordance with USP <797> Category 3 standards and applicable state and federal regulations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile compounded medications, including large-batch productions
- Perform bubble point integrity testing and accurately maintain batch production logs
- Oversee aseptic technique and ensure adherence to USP <797> standards
- Supervise and train pharmacy technicians involved in sterile compounding
- Review and verify compounding records for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to address deviations and implement corrective actions
- Maintain proper gowning, environmental monitoring, and documentation per SOP and regulatory guidelines
Requirements
- PharmD or BS in Pharmacy
- Active pharmacist license in the state of California
- 1–2 years of previous pharmacy experience; USP <797> Category 3 experience preferred
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and leadership skills
