Job Title: Network Engineering Manager
Job Summary
The Network Engineering Manager is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of RevSpring’s enterprise networks and virtualized systems infrastructure. This position requires a senior-level technical expert with deep, practical experience in managing various networks, blade systems, FortiGate firewalls, Nutanix and VMware virtualization platforms, and storage systems. The successful candidate will combine strategic oversight with day-to-day operational excellence to ensure network performance, security, scalability, and reliability.
Essential Functions
Leadership & Management
- Lead and mentor a team of network and systems engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, technical excellence, and accountability.
- Develop and execute strategic roadmaps for network, virtualization, and storage technologies aligned with organizational goals.
- Manage infrastructure lifecycle planning, budgeting, and vendor relationships for networking, storage, and compute systems.
Network Engineering
- Design, implement, and support enterprise-level network infrastructure, including switches, routers, wireless controllers, and Cisco UCS blade systems.
- Manage and optimize LAN/WAN architectures, VLAN configurations, and network segmentation for performance and security.
- Configure and maintain firewalls and VPN solutions, ensuring compliance with organizational security standards and best practices.
- Monitor network performance, capacity, and security using advanced tools and implement proactive improvements.
Systems & Virtualization
- Oversee and maintain Nutanix and VMware virtual environments supporting enterprise workloads.
- Develop and manage policies for VM provisioning, performance optimization, and high availability.
- Ensure proper integration between compute, network, and storage systems.
Storage & Data Management
- Administer and optimize storage environments to ensure performance, data protection, and reliability.
- Implement and manage backup, recovery, and replication strategies across virtualized environments.
Security & Compliance
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement network segmentation, access control, and monitoring.
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with internal and external security and data protection standards.
Operational Excellence
- Establish and maintain operational runbooks, diagrams, and configuration documentation.
- Manage change control, incident response, and root cause analysis processes.
- Ensure high availability, business continuity, and disaster recovery readiness for all infrastructure components.
Minimum Requirements
Specific Job Skills: - Expert-level knowledge of:
- Cisco networking (UCS, routing, switching, wireless, VLANs)
- FortiGate firewalls and VPN solutions
- Nutanix AHV and VMware vSphere virtualization
- Pure Storage FlashArray systems
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Proven experience with network security, redundancy, and high-availability configurations.
Preferred Skills
- Cisco CCNP or CCIE certification (or equivalent hands-on experience).
- Fortinet NSE certification.
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP).
- Experience with automation tools (Ansible, PowerShell, or similar).
- Knowledge of monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, or equivalent).
- AWS, Azure, and GCP experience.
- Experience with large scale print operations data centers.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent experience).
Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in network and systems engineering, with at least 3 years in a management or senior leadership role.

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from a variety of both internal and external sources.
