Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and routine maintenance of production equipment, utilities, and facility systems to ensure smooth and uninterrupted manufacturing operations. The role requires adherence to
GMP,
safety, and
quality standards in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and packaging equipment, HVAC systems, water systems, and utilities.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime.
- Support installation, qualification, and calibration of new equipment in accordance with GMP requirements.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, calibration records, and equipment history documentation.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain compliance with environmental and OSHA regulations.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure equipment readiness for batch operations.
- Identify areas for continuous improvement and support equipment reliability initiatives.
- Assist in spare parts inventory management and ensure timely availability of critical components.
- Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and technical support.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Diploma / ITI / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience: 2–5 years of maintenance experience in a pharmaceutical, food, or healthcare manufacturing facility.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, cleanroom maintenance, and utility systems (HVAC, RO, Compressed Air, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and equipment drawings.
- Hands-on experience with troubleshooting PLC-based systems is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and teamwork skills.
