Pharmacist in Charge
Job Specifics and Requirements:
Area: Jonesboro, AR
Education: Pharm. D. or B.S.
License: Arkansas license
Experience Needed: At least 5 years of pharmacy experience. At least 2 years of prior pharmacy management experience. Inpatient pharmacy experience required.
Schedule: Monday - Friday,8 Hour Shift
Pay: $70.00 + sign on bonus and relocation package available
Background/ Drug Requirements: Ability to successfully complete background check, health and drug screen
Pharmacist in Charge
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all aspects of pharmacy operations within a health system
Serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC), taking legal responsibility for the pharmacy's compliance with state and federal regulations
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective medication management
Lead and mentor a team of pharmacists, technicians, and support staff
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and medication therapy
Manage pharmacy budgets, inventory, and resource allocation
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards
Implement and oversee quality improvement initiatives and medication safety programs
Participate in formulary management and drug utilization review processes
Represent the pharmacy department in interdisciplinary meetings and committees
Stay current with advancements in pharmacy practice and implement innovative services
Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the pharmacy team
Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other external partners
Analyze data and prepare reports on pharmacy performance metrics
Develop and maintain emergency preparedness plans for the pharmacy department
