Certified Welding Inspectors & Non-Destructive Testing Technicians

We are actively seeking Certified Welding Inspectors (CWI) and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technicians for immediate openings. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct structural steel inspections for fabrication projects of varying sizes and complexities.
• Perform NDT using Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT).
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, including Chapter 17 of the NYC building code and QA/QC requirements.
• Provide timely, detailed inspection reports.
• Collaborate effectively with project teams, clients, and contractors.
  
  

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or Structural Engineering or Architecture
• 3+ years’ experience inspecting structural steel fabrication of varied in Size and complexity.
• Familiarity with Chapter 17 of the NYC building code.
• Familiarity with Structural Steel Fabrication Shop QA/QC requirements.
• OSHA 30-hour safety training (preferred
  
  

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

• Currently holds a valid certification in SOME or ALL of the following:
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector
• ICC Structural Steel & Bolting Inspector
• ASNT SNT-TC-1A Certified Level II – NDT - Ultrasonic Testing
• ASNT SNT-TC-1A Certified Level II – NDT – Magnetic Particle Testing
• ASNT SNT-TC-1A Certified Level II – NDT – Liquid Penetrant Testing
  
  

Other Qualifications

• Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and clients at all organizational levels
• Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting purposes
• Demonstrated ability to deliver inspection reports promptly and accurately
• Possession of a reliable mode of transportation and a valid driver’s license
• Willingness to pursue additional certifications to enhance professional skills and expertise
• Aptitude for collaborative teamwork as well as the ability to work independently when necessary
• Familiarity with relevant construction industry codes and regulations

Hourly Rate: $45 - $60
