Job Summary
This role will actively support the short and long-term supply planning activities for your assigned focus suppliers and respective materials or services purchased. There will be coordination between functions globally at a corporate and site level. The scope of this role is of major spend, quantity, scale and or complexity. The role includes aspects of Production Planning, Network Planning, Supplier Relationship Management and Inventory Management and Control. It may also include Lead Time, Master Data Reviews, and Standard Reporting.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Analyze production requirements to purchase raw materials in accordance to vendor arranged lead times and MOQs Complete monthly inventory counts
- Collaborate with vendors on continuous improvement initiatives (pricing, packaging, volumes, lead times, etc)
- Manage open orders to ensure on time deliveries
- Maintain material specific master data such as safety stock
- Analyze usage trends to establish optimal inventory levels and safety stocks
- Collaborate with Global Supply Chain and other West Facilities on the management of network controlled materials
- Investigate and implement corrective actions when material outages occur
- Collaborate with Site Planners to ensure production schedule changes are supported
- Support site inventory initiatives and audits when applicable
- Support/facilitate production variance analysis to determine root causes of any misses
- Support/facilitate Supply Chain initiatives to consume at risk material timely and according to deviation work instructions
- Participate in cost savings / Kaizen projects as applicable to operational material consumption and transactional management
- Supports plant operations as needed while the site is running production for materials within portfolio
- Comply with the company’s safety and quality policy at all times
- Comply with the SOPs, as per Company policy, as relevant to the position covered by this Job Description

Education
- High School Diploma required
- Bachelor's Degree Business or relevant field preferred
Work Experience
- Minimum 3 years in supply chain preferred
- Sound knowledge of MS Office and SAP (MM/SD module) required
- Experience developing master production schedules, and resource planning preferred
- Basic knowledge and understanding of APO/SNP (SAP’s Advanced Planning and Optimization tool) preferred
Preferred Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Previous manufacturing work experience
- Experience with SAP, MES programs, Database programs
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Detail oriented with exceptional time management and multi-tasking ability
- Ability to create Standard Operating Procedures
