As a Pharmacy Technician, you are responsible for preparing medications, processing prescriptions, maintaining inventory, assisting pharmacists, handling customer service, managing insurance claims, ensuring compliance with regulations, organizing medications, updating patient records, and performing administrative tasks to support pharmacy operations.

Job Specifics and Requirements:

Area: Dallas, TX

Licensure Requirements: Must have open, active, and in good standing Texas Pharmacy Technician License

Education: High School diploma or equivalent

Experience Needed: At least 1 year of retail, ambulatory, or hospital outpatient settings experience

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am-5pm

Pay: $21.00+

Background/ Drug Requirements: Ability to successfully complete background check, health and drug screen

Pharmacy Technician

Job Responsibilities:
• Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
• Receive and verify prescription orders from patients, doctors, and healthcare facilities
• Enter patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system
• Prepare and label medications for dispensing
• Perform pharmacy inventory management and stock control
• Process insurance claims and handle billing inquiries
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
• Maintain a clean and organized pharmacy work environment
• Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and safety procedures
• Assist with compounding medications under pharmacist supervision when required
• Handle phone calls and respond to customer inquiries professionally
• Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure smooth daily operations
• Participate in continuing education and training programs to stay current with industry standards
• Assist in managing pharmacy workflow to minimize wait times and optimize efficiency
• Support pharmacists in patient counseling and medication therapy management as needed
