Human Resources Manager

The Human Resources Manager has responsibility for all aspects of human resources: compensation and benefits; employee recruitment, retention and engagement; employee relations and employee training, development and advancement. The individual will also need to develop strong, collaborative relationships with the members of the Senior Management Team and organizational leadership to promote the company’s mission and support the organization’s expansion and growth. This role is critical to maintaining a positive work culture, attracting top talent, and ensuring our employees are supported and motivated.
Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition and Evaluation:
- Lead the recruitment and selection process, including job postings, interviewing, and hiring.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their hiring needs and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Facilitate the performance evaluation process and develop plans for employee growth and development.
Employee Benefit Plan Design:
- Design and manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness programs.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements to benefits packages to ensure competitiveness within the industry.
- Communicate benefits options and changes to employees and address any related queries.
Payroll Management:
- Oversee the payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of salaries, bonuses, and other compensation.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Collaborate with finance to manage payroll budgets and forecasts.
Employee Relations and Compliance:
- Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures that promote a positive work environment.
- Address employee concerns, grievances, and disciplinary actions in a fair and consistent manner.
- Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations.
HR Strategy and Leadership:
- Partner with senior management to align HR initiatives with business objectives.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices to continually improve HR processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on talent acquisition, benefits administration, and payroll management.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing others and leading initiatives.
- Team building and collaborative problem-solving skills.
- Broad understanding of compensation and benefits, recruitment and retention, change management, employee relations, leadership training, organizational development, and employment laws.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and payroll software.
