Dock Coordinator

Ecolab, the global leader of premium cleaning, sanitizing, and maintenance products and services for the hospitality, institutional, and industrial markets, is seeking a Dock Coordinator for our Warehouse facility in McDonough, GA. This role is responsible for the accurate and timely picking, packing, preparing, and shipping all customer orders. Additionally, the role is responsible for accurate material handling and cycle count functions.

What You Will Do

  • Address departmental paperwork and conduct physical searches/research of missing products
  • Assist in researching discrepancies on cycle counts
  • Assist shipping departments with problem pick tickets
  • Track departmental data and generate applicable reports as needed
  • Plans/manages dock flow to safely and effectively meet outbound shipment and inbound receiving schedules
  • Trains, develops, and monitors logistics associates in required duties
  • Performs safety, procedural,l and housekeeping audits of the logistics areas
  • Identifies safety hazards and implements changes necessary to mitigate hazards
  • Proactively communicates with customer service, management, production, and maintenance department personnel to meet departmental and plant objectives
  • Accurately processes necessary transactions related to labor reporting and record keeping
  • Performs daily administrative tasks involved with maintaining inventory accuracy in SAP and additional systems
  • Back-up forklift operator for shipping and receiving operations as labor crewing and demand dictates (this is a “working” coordinator position)
  • Examine all packaging and contents of items for quality
  • Identify items with a quantity discrepancy and promptly communicate with Supervisor and/or Lead
  • Updates and maintains inventory control databases
  • Ensures the freight sorting area is organized and follows the established sorting and stocking guidelines
  • Maintain the 5S cleanliness of the picking area and pulls completed shrink-wrapped orders to the dock for packers
  • Follow all safety procedures and policies

Position Details

  • Location: McDonough, GA Warehouse
  • 2nd shift Monday - Friday 3pm - 11pm
  • Compensation: $23.89/hr with shift differential and some OT

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 1 year of previous plant or warehouse experience
  • 1 year practicing the 5S’s
  • 3 years of previous Raymond stand-up forklift operating experience
  • 3 years in a leadership role
  • 3 years of auditing experience
  • 3 years of knowledge using SAP and WMS
  • No immigration sponsorship offered for this role

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Experience in a leadership role
  • Knowledge of ISO, DOT and OSHA standards
  • Be able to properly utilize a manual pallet jack, electric pallet jack, reach truck, and clamp truck
  • Previous experience in shipping and/or receiving
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple, competing priorities to meet deadlines
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with Total Production Management (TPM) & Continuous Improvement Systems
  • Ability to work independently or in a team

Annual Or Hourly Compensation Range

$23.89 Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
