Job Description

The Facility Maintenance Lead performs a variety of maintenance duties in support of laboratory and facility operations. Assists in other departments as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs standard preventative maintenance procedures
  • Monitors and maintains building facilities (HVAC, refrigeration, and ventilation equipment)
  • Troubleshoots and repairs various laboratory equipment
  • Provides materials list to supervisor to maintain a stock of repair parts in-house and maintenance supplies
  • Stocks all copy machines with paper on a weekly basis
  • Completes weekly walk-thru of building for fluorescent bulb replacement
  • Oversees receiving and storing of laboratory supplies
  • Performs miscellaneous errands, purchasing parts for the lab, janitorial supplies
  • Serves as emergency call backup if Facilities Manager is not onsite
  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or management team

Qualifications



Qualifications

Education: High school diploma required.

Basic maintenance experience in:

  • HVAC
  • Plumbing
  • Refrigeration
  • Electrical

Ability and/or Skills (BMQ):

  • Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration maintenance and repair.
  • Communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

Position is located at our Tinley Park, IL location.

Work Schedule for Position: Monday - Friday 7 AM- 4:00 PM, with OT as required.

Position Pay Range: $25- 28/ hour based on experience
