Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 4th-5th Grade Special Education Teacher to join our school community immediately. This position is for the remainder of the school year and requires the ability to work in-person.
As a Special Education Teacher, you will provide individualized support to students with various learning needs, ensuring they can succeed academically and socially within the classroom. You will collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other specialists to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications
Valid Michigan Special Education Teaching Certification
Experience working with students in grades 4-5
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to create a positive and supportive learning environment
Ability to work in-person, Monday through Friday, from 7:45 AM to 3:40 PM
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement IEPs (Individualized Education Plans) for students
Provide direct instruction and support to students in both small and large group settings
Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
Collaborate with other educators, parents, and staff members
Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress and documentation
Support students in developing social, emotional, and academic skills
