What You Get To Do
The Director of Field Implementation is responsible for strategic governance, coordination, and performance oversight of project execution activities related to installation and Control Systems Commissioning across KNAPP’s field operations. This role ensures alignment with project quality, timelines, and cost expectations through process governance and indirect leadership. Operating within a matrixed environment, this role influences multiple project stakeholders to ensure successful implementation outcomes.
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership & Governance
- Provide strategic guidance to project stakeholders and Field Implementation teams to ensure successful implementation outcomes
- Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
- Serve as a key partner of Field Implementation in delivering departmental and organizational goals through oversight and governance
- Resource Coordination & Capacity Planning
- Partner with HR and relevant managers to support staffing strategies for project-based and contract resources
- Implement strategies for optimal use of project based and contract resources
- Support development of new installation contractors and field implementation personnel
- Project Oversight & Risk Mitigation
- Establish governance standards to proactively identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies; oversee escalation management and issue resolution
- Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, safety and quality standards through effective steering and alignment
- Project Quality Governance
- Establish and enforce quality control processes and standards
- Monitor project quality metrics and address any issues promptly
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes to enhance project quality
- Budget & Performance Analytics
- Oversee field implementation cost center, ensuring fiscal responsibility and strategic cost management
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-effective strategies
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the departments’ success
What You Have
- 10 years work experience within the Field Implementation arena, Bachelor’s degree in a Technical and/or Business field preferred
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and industry best practices
- Demonstrated experience in successful realization of multi-million dollar projects
- Advanced organizational, collaboration, written and verbal communication, and problem-solving abilities and skills
- Intermediate financial acumen and budget management experience
- Advanced experience in managing and governing multifunctional and global teams
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of warehouse logistics processes
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of project management and project execution
- Advanced experience interpreting and negotiating complex contracts with customers
- Ability to handle increasingly high volume of work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment in a calm and focused manner
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of computer systems and Windows operating system
Working Conditions and Environment:
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Passport or ability to obtain passport
- Professional office etiquette is required at all times
- Travel is required, up to 30%
- Physical requirements may include: sitting for long periods of time, standing, walking, climbing a ladder, speaking, visual acuity, finger dexterity, listening, reaching at arm’s length, and lifting up to 50 pounds
