Job Summary And Qualifications
The Director of Logistics and Supply Chain Transformation is responsible for assessing members’ current state and developing and implementing a strategic plan to improve operations and optimize warehousing, logistics, and distribution.
Individual must be able to use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve processes, functionality, and productivity. Individual exercises judgment in selecting and/or adapting methods for obtaining solutions - taking a new perspective on using existing solutions to solve for complex problems.
Individual demonstrates project leadership for back office team members (finance, contract administration, etc.)..
What you will do in this role includes:
- Conducts assessments along with the team to determine a Member’s current state, opportunities for improvement, identify best practices, and develop and implement plan for future state and action.
- Represents the internal customer and the organization by focusing efforts on maximizing quality, minimizing costs and integrating individual departmental goals within system supply chain objectives
- Directly responsible for building business cases and associated work plans for projects or process improvements
- Act as indirect leader with some oversight for assigned support services departments, overseeing operations, and other administrative duties as colleagues assist with projects.
- Indirect oversite for assigned support services including IOMs ensuring that approved system standards are enforced.
- Implements strategic solutions striving for cost reduction and standardization.
- Identifies the best value from a cost/benefit perspective using benchmarks to ensure competitiveness.
- Develops project plans, identifies potential issues/risks and develops contingency plans.
- Conduct complex analysis and create operational reporting.
What qualifications you will need: - Bachelor’s Degree – Required
- Or work experience in lieu of degree – Required
- 7+ Supply Chain Logistics Experience - Required
- 5+ years Operations Leadership - Required
