Soliant is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join a school-based team, providing essential medical support to students. This role is ideal for a compassionate and skilled nurse who has experience working with pediatric populations and students with special needs.
Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to students, ensuring a safe and healthy school environment.
Monitor and manage students with tracheostomies, including suctioning as needed.
Administer and manage G-tubes, J-tubes, and NG tubes, ensuring proper feeding and medication administration.
Assist students with diabetes management, including monitoring blood sugar levels, administering insulin, and providing education to staff and families.
Respond to seizures, administer emergency seizure medications, and implement individualized seizure action plans.
Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to develop and implement individualized health care plans.
Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with state and federal health regulations.
Educate staff on emergency medical procedures and best practices for supporting students with medical needs.
Requirements
Active RN License (State of [Insert State])
Minimum of one year of experience in pediatrics or working with individuals with special needs
Experience with trach care, suctioning, G-tubes, J-tubes, NG tubes, seizure management, and diabetes care
Strong communication and collaboration skills
CPR and First Aid Certification (preferred)
