The role of the Label / EDI Support Specialist

As part of the team, the Label / EDI Support Specialist, performs critical responsibilities and duties related to the support of the organization’s product packaging label design and management, as well as EDI trading partner support.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Manage artwork files including creation and comparison inspections
  • Assist with compiling data required for label preparation
  • Build and update digital databases
  • Determine guidelines that specify which source material is acceptable for use
  • Develop training curriculum and train personnel on system use
  • Design and maintain Commercial product serialization labels for all sites in accordance with GS1 and regulatory requirements and standards
  • Direct point of contact for internal communications surrounding Commercial serialization artwork
  • Update and maintain library of serialization license plate capabilities
  • Develop a technical, working knowledge of the serialization equipment and capabilities
  • Assist in serialization documentation, creation, and review
  • Maintain label software and assure software compatibility with network and production systems
  • Configuration management and maintenance of corporate labeling solution software (Teklynx Central).
  • Design and maintain Shared Service product templates in accordance with regulatory requirements and standards
  • EDI support (not design or document development)

Qualifications

What experience you have had:

  • 1-3 years of experience or working knowledge in the healthcare pharmaceutical or medical products preferred but not required (manufacturer, distributor, wholesaler, provider, etc.).
  • An understanding of printers, labeling and label design
  • Knowledge of and adherence to all GS1, PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, and rules
  • Strong ability to self-manage
  • Strong attention to detail
  • SQL, EDI, and Codesoft knowledge preferred, but not required
  • Proof-reading accuracy and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional verbal communication skills including the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff, as well as customers and vendors.
