How will you make an impact?
You will be supporting the current protein purification process improvement to promote product quality, and participating in new product development in R&D. While working within an interdisciplinary team of scientists, you will learn and supply your skills and ideas to projects.
What will you do?
- Perform laboratory experiments to develop, assess or transfer methods/procedures, specifically, protein purification and biochemical analysis.
- Help develop and build the foundation of new cell or protein-based bioassays.
- Responsible for performing data analysis and interpretation.
- Communicate findings and discuss relevance of your data to a multi-discipline team.
How will you get here?
Education
Bachelor, or Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Immunology, Biology, Bioengineering, physiology, or a related subject area.
Experience
- Bachelor's degree with 3 years of proven experience related to the job description; Master's degree with 2 years practical experience in life sciences.
- 1+ years of experience with tissue culture, protein purification, flow cytometry, assay development, and molecular biology techniques.
- Technical experience with antibody-antigen detection test, including ELISA, affinity, and bead-based immunoassay.
- Good understanding of GLP and GMP guidelines for assay development
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Protein purification.
- Sterile tissue culture technique.
- Assay development experience, particularly with fluorescence and luminescence-based assays.
- Independent project execution.
- Observe deviations from the anticipated outcomes and provide solutions where needed.
- Succeed with a moderate level of supervision and mentorship.
- Strong collaboration orientation with proven influence/interpersonal skills.

Compensation And Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $72,600.00–$108,900.00.
