Objective Of Position
The Core Systems Service Analyst is responsible for helping to provide a second level of support to internal customers for all the bank’s core applications via the Freshservice helpdesk system. The individual will assist the department with special projects, audit and compliance efforts, as well as contribute to enhancing workflow and constantly improving day-to-day processes within the department and other Bank departments. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) daily management of the department applications, customer implementations, tracking system errors, validating, reporting and escalating system issues to product support and internal contacts. The individual will have a clear understanding of all interfaces and processes associated with all applications supported by the department and any future functionality the Bank chooses to acquire.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Maintains the department applications and new application implementations, reporting and escalating system issues to the respective application host provider(s).
- Assists end-users with all applications who report issues as Level 2, including working hosted application vendors to resolve the case.
- Assists with multiple projects and initiatives (conversions, data mapping, new service/application implementation, enhancements, etc.)
- Must understand system configurations and functionality of the bank core systems.
- Help assess and analyze data requests and identify the method of extracting or loading data using data tools and automated scripts.
- Help extract and analyze data request for various business departments such as product performance, customer growth, transaction volume, branch data, application usage and audit requests.
- Help with all requests from Audit and Compliance with respect to data and user security.
- Help implement customer set-ups and maintenance requests for all applications supported by department.
- Help define, execute and document various application(s) testing on releases, upgrades and enhancements.
- Help ensure all application documentation is available for the department use in troubleshooting.
- Maintains the bank’s core application by creating new products, service charge plans, interest plans, etc. within the base application and other modules.
- Assists with the daily work review and quality check processes.
- Effectively and quickly communicates system outages/enhancements to impacted users.
- Help make suggestions to identify how to manage application configuration or manage data extract requests.
- Assists with the bank/system mergers, conversions and acquisitions.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of technology, business processes, and practices for continuous application and process improvements.
- All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Business Systems, Information Technology, or related field.
- 2+ years of banking experience in a core systems administrator, programmer, or analyst role.
- Financial Industry experience preferred.
- Be self-motivated, data oriented, with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable with learning new technology and software applications quickly.
- Must be highly organized, tech savvy, comfortable with change and ambiguity, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to analyze and resolve problems and make suggestions to improve current processes and workflows.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines using excellent time management skills with ease and professionalism.
- Effective problem-solving and project management skills.
- Strong team player
- Knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, etc.
- Knowledge of FIS IBS Core, Business Intelligence, and related applications a plus.
Location:
- This is a remote /hybrid position. Candidate will work remotely the majority of the time but could be expected to attend in person meetings.
Physical Demands/Work Environment
Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, and standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office equipment. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices.
Byline Bank offers competitive industry rate salary bands with the goal of retaining and growing talented individuals. We regularly review and adjust our compensation structure as needed to ensure equity across teams and levels.
The salary range for this position is $52,000 to $64,000. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Byline Bank offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
