Job Description
The purpose of this internship is to assist Engineering in a number of projects and to provide a learning platform in a business setting.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Participate in the development or sustaining activities of medical devices such as tracheostomy tubes, respiratory/general anesthesia devices or transport ventilators.
- Perform engineering work requiring full competency in all conventional aspects of engineering. Plans and conducts work requiring judgment in the independent evaluation, selection and the substantial adaption of standard engineering techniques, procedures, and requirements
- Conduct testing for assigned projects.
- Prepare documentation associated with engineering activities.
- Determine resolution of moderate technical issues as needed and assure that technical work meets specified requirements.
- Participate in intern class activities
- Work on special projects as assigned

- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to management and cross functional team members
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently and organize/prioritize job assignments and tasks
- Ability to take work direction as a learning opportunity
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Project)
- Enrolled in an accredited college program
Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma required
Work Environment
- This is largely a sedentary role.
- This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
- Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time
