What You Get To Do
Assist the Project Controlling Team with the following:
- Acts as a sparring partner to the Project Manager in finance related questions
- Ensures the accuracy of project books and records and supports the PM to maintain and record such in the appropriate systems
- Supports Project Manager in creating monthly forecasts and proactively challenges changes/discrepancies
- Supports the Project Manager that the financial results according to set targets are managed with due professional care and optimizes the project gross profit, cash flow and assets and financing instruments
- Meet with project managers monthly to go over commercial/financial aspects of each project
- Supports the PM in identifying, evaluating, and assessing risk and opportunities, strategies and response activities – taking over the full responsibility in this regard with respect to all commercial risks and opportunities
- Assist PM with reconciling original contract value and change orders for each project including obtaining copies of all contracts if needed
- Supports Project Controlling team to provide a monthly PoC
- Ensures the compliance with the Knapp guidelines for all commercial aspects
- Attend project hand over meetings
- Ensure accuracy of billings / revenue as part of the monthly close process and assist in the completion of the monthly close / reporting process
- Create efficiencies within project reporting and explore ways to provide project managers with more relevant reporting and analysis to include intercompany billing process
- Review project purchase orders to ensure correct cost allocations
- Work on special projects as requested
What You Have
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting with 8+ years related experience and/or training
- Experience working with business operations in finance/accounting liaison role
- Experience with SAP
- Experience and competency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail with impeccable follow through
- Ability to meet critical deadlines
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Quick learner, analytical, deductive reasoning, detail, and quality oriented
Working Conditions and Environment:
- Authorized to work in the U. S
- Passport or ability to obtain passport
- Physical requirements: Sitting for long periods of time, walking, speaking, visual acuity, finger dexterity, lifting up to 20 pounds.
