Lakeland is currently seeking a dedicatedGlobal Inventory Managerto drive our inventory and production planning processes to new heights. The main purpose of the Global Inventory Manage position is to perform global production planning and scheduling for Lakeland. Our focus is on meeting customer delivery requirements while maximizing capacity and maintaining optimal inventory levels. This position is responsible for gathering critical data including stock levels, backorders, safety stock, and sales trends to inform our strategies. This comprehensive approach will ensure that we effectively allocate resources and manage product flow.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement robust inventory allocation strategies to optimize placement, boost inventory turns, enhance sales, and elevate customer satisfaction
  • Continuously enhance KPIs, focusing on Forecast MAPEs and on-time delivery metrics
  • Evaluate forecast accuracy with Critical Path analysis to ensure program adherence
  • Foster team growth through mentorship, clear goal-setting, and leadership development
  • Collaborate with customers and trade for timely logistics to strengthen relations
  • Leverage ERP systems for efficient production scheduling and tracking of finished goods
  • Optimize inventory levels to align with production schedules, factoring in safety stock
  • Generate work orders and purchase requests aligned with sales trends and customer needs
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing Planning Team
  • Effectively resolve complex issues
  • Bridge Operations, Sales, and Customer Service for effective communication and order reporting

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proficiency in inventory analysis, including safety stock and EQQ
  • Expertise in Cloud technologies, SQL, and Planograms software
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while promoting a culture of respect and continuous improvement
  • Experience in budget management, business case development, analytical, and supply chain initiatives
  • Skilled in ERP systems (ideally SAP) with knowledge of production planning
  • Excellent and effective communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Independent decision-making skills
  • Expertise in Microsoft Suite and advanced Excel
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in MRP, MPS, and APS
