Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School General Education Teacher to join our team in Edisto Island, SC. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in middle school education and a commitment to creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment. This position will require the teacher to deliver instruction in a variety of subjects, manage student behavior, and support the academic and personal growth of each student. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that meet state standards across all core subjects
• Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages collaboration, respect, and student engagement
• Assess student progress regularly through various methods (e.g., tests, projects, discussions) and provide feedback to help students succeed
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students with various learning styles, backgrounds, and abilities
• Foster a positive classroom culture that promotes social-emotional development and responsible citizenship
• Collaborate with other teachers, administrators, and staff to create a well-rounded educational experience for students
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities
• Support students in developing critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Maintain accurate student records, grades, and lesson plans
• Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
• Valid South Carolina teaching license with appropriate endorsements for middle school education
• Previous experience teaching middle school students preferred
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive, productive learning environment
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of middle school curriculum and best practices for differentiated instruction
• Ability to integrate technology into lessons and classroom activities
