Title: Verification of Benefits Specialist
Location: Plano, TX
Duration: 6 Months (Possibility of Extension)
Job Responsibilities
- Insurance benefit verification
- Auditing clinical documentation to identify medical treatments for specific guidelines related to the ordered procedure
- Phone calls to insurance carriers for preauthorization/appeal process
- Customer service and communication skills both verbally and email communications
- Key Skills: Medical terminology; Customer service skills; Data Entry; Team player
Education
- HS diploma or GED equivalent; related technical field may apply
- 1-2 years of experience
- Insurance benefit experience
- Reviewing medical records experience
Preferred Experience
- Understanding the medical documentation terminology
