We are seeking a Senior UX Designer to join our Specialties zone for athenaClinicals, an award-winning electronic health record and medical practice management solution. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional internal teams and client teams to deliver engaging, intuitive experiences that meet our users' needs and business goals. You will create valuable and delightful experiences by crafting high-quality solutions to complex problems.

The Specialties zone is responsible for developing tools that address the unique needs of various specialists. Our goal is to help all physicians provide better care to patients while documenting that care easily and effectively. We are committed to transforming a complex and sometimes cumbersome process into a more intuitive, satisfying, and empowering experience for physicians and clinical staff.
What You’ll Do
Collaborate cross-functionally with UX, product, and engineering teams to create effective designs that solve complex problems.
Develop a deep understanding of your scrum team’s problem space.
Define high-level solutions through workflows, information architecture diagrams, and conceptual models.
Create detailed, high-fidelity UI and UX specifications to effectively communicate design requirements to engineers and stakeholders.
Plan and conduct user research studies to identify user pain points and gather feedback on potential solutions.
What You’ll Bring
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, or related disciplines.
3 to 5 years of professional experience designing digital experiences, with experience in enterprise or healthcare design being a plus.
A self-directed approach and comfort with ambiguity and complexity.
Experience in facilitating and summarizing user research.
A portfolio showcasing your ability to define problems and connect research insights to design rationale.
