Manages the sales activities of organization by performing the following duties personally. Cultivates and maintains favorable contact with key and major accounts of the organization. Sustains a record of high sales achievement. Demonstrates thorough product and services knowledge and assists in the best application of products or services.
Responsibilities
- Maintain proximity to and awareness of assigned customer accounts
- Estimates and analyzes records of present and past operations, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenue, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred.
- Effectively qualify customers for the placement of company products and services
- Utilize company processes and tools to collaboratively develop and justify business cases
- Offer, negotiate, and close long term contracts in support of company objectives
- Perform other sales related duties incidental to the work described herein
- Serve as primary contact for customer in relation to sales and commercial activities
- Effectively manage assigned accounts with goal of customer satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth
- Respond to RFP for assigned customer accounts
- Address and participate in resolution of high level customer issues
- Conduct periodic business reviews and customer relationship management visits for assigned customer accounts
- Monitor aerospace market conditions and in particular impact on assigned customer accounts
- Assist in creation of customer specific business cases to be developed through the LSL sales campaign process
- Assist with contract and agreement implementation processes
- Align internal processes to meet customer expectations
- Complete commercial sales trip reports for internal communication of customer status and concerns
- Develop and deliver sales and commercial support presentations to the customer in an effective and standardized manner
- Attend industry conference and trade shows
- Ensure strategic alignment of sales organization with company objectives
- Maintain LRU warehouse count accuracy, volumes and valuation
- Recommend USM purchases to senior management team to meet the needs of the company to support contracts
- Manage assigned customer contracts to support both our internal and external customers.
Competencies
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or a related discipline with 4-6 years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and experience.
- Ability to work in a potentially stressful environment
- Ability to ready, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, an customers, and the general public
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exits
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Thorough knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services, including marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
- Thorough knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrated strong oral and written communication skills as well as negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of Microsoft suite.
- Ability to operate and facilitate cross function teams.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license.
