Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Warehouse Systems and Process (WaSP Sr Manager) will oversee the Process and Systems Support and enhancement activities for FFF Distribution Operations, The WaSP Sr Manager position is a hybrid position and is required to live within close proximity to an existing FFF distribution center, and he/she will directly oversee the activities of other WaSP team mates who will also reside within close proximity to an FFF distribution center. The WaSP Sr Manager and her/his direct reports will collaborate with Distribution Center (DC) Operations Leaders, Quality, Innovations, and other cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and efficient daily processing and will streamline and improve upon current processes by actively participating in the development of requirements, technology development, configuration and testing required to realize both near- and long-term innovation. These efforts will drive profitable growth, improve quality, enhance the customer experience, and increase employee engagement across all FFF Enterprises, Inc. Distribution Centers.

This position will champion Lean Six Sigma principles and operational excellence standards across all operations functions, in alignment with the company’s commitment to Helping Healthcare Care.

This position is categorized as compliance critical and as such requires and is assigned specific responsibility for ensuring continual and proper compliance with all division corporate and regulatory requirements.

Essential Functions and Duties

  • Direct activities, coach and mentor members of the WaSP team and ensure that there are clear lines of accountability and responsibility.
  • Understand and own all warehousing, inventory control and distribution process settings and parameters within SAP EWM, ATTP, WCS and ShipERP as well as, proactive influence for other business processes and systems that influence activities and outcomes within the distribution centers. 
  • Leverage span of systems control to create and oversee auxiliary applications, reports and tools such as enhanced inventory control, Cartonization, labor management, OS&D improvement, capacity planning, slotting, etc.
  • Develop and oversee systems parameter and configuration audit that occurs no less than once per quarter to verify that mission critical parameters are set and functioning as intended across all distribution centers.
  • Develop detailed requirements for development of new innovations and break fixes for systems within immediate span of control.
  • Coordinate innovation development between stakeholders, distribution center leads and technology development teams to ensure that requirements are thoroughly vetted and approved by all, that development proceeds in Agile fashion with frequent review and updates from the development team, that developments are thoroughly tested.
  • Coordinate implementation of innovation and break fixes in collaboration with stakeholders to minimize risk of disruption and to ensure that the operating teams are thoroughly trained and equipped to make use of the improvement.
  • Collaborate with the SAP EWM functional teams to assist in understanding and clarifying business requirements and ensuring any builds are as per requirements and prioritizing tickets for the EWM Team.
  • Responsible for Quality (Q01) Business Testing and Silk approval of system transports to Production P01 for new requirements and break fixes.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in logistics, engineering or computer science or four (4) years relevant experience in lieu of degree.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ [nine (9) for non-degreed candidates] experience operating within a combination of Operations and SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) with direct involvement in Warehouse Master Data Settings and parameters.
  • Proven track record for developing, training, and coaching teams, self-directed leader with a proven ability to manage/influence across and up into the organization without direct reporting responsibility

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience within pharmaceutical wholesale distribution.

Required Knowledge:

  • Must have a strong working knowledge of warehousing and distribution operations and product flow, as well as expertise in EWM WMS system modules related to receiving, transferring, picking, shipping, physical inventory and billing and its integration to other lower-level systems.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in using computers and software applications, including Warehouse Management Systems, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, to operate effectively and manage tasks efficiently.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams to solve problems and implement sustainable improvements within the organization

Certification

  • Lean / Six-Sigma certification preferred.
