Role Overview:

As a Talent Acquisition/HR Specialist, you will play a key role in sourcing, screening, and recruiting candidates for a variety of positions within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a sharp eye for talent, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of the recruitment process. This position will serve as the main HR leader at our location, and you will also take on employee relations responsibilities as needed. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand job requirements and develop effective recruitment strategies that attract top talent.
  • Source candidates using a variety of methods, including job boards, social media, networking, and employee referrals; maintain a robust pipeline for future hiring needs.
  • Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and assess candidates for qualifications and cultural fit.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews, ensuring a smooth and professional process for both candidates and hiring managers.
  • Provide a positive candidate experience by guiding them through the recruitment process and keeping them informed.
  • Extend contingent offers to selected candidates; manage pre-employment processes such as background checks and drug tests.
  • Manage recruitment data and track progress using our applicant tracking system (Paycom).
  • Onboard new hires and ensure all new hire paperwork, including Form I-9, is completed accurately and timely.
  • Serve as the main HR leader at the location, handling employee relations issues and supporting a positive work environment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and employees.

Qualifications

Experience & Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of prior experience in Talent Acquisition and Human Resources.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment processes, strategies, and techniques.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools.
  • Some experience in employee relations preferred.
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment is a plus.
  • Ability to conduct high volumes of telephone screening and interviews.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of Massachusetts employment law (required).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate needs and expectations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive candidate and employee information.
  • Proficient in using Outlook, Calendar, Microsoft Word, and voicemail.
  • A strong sense of urgency and the ability to meet deadlines.

Education:

  • Associate degree in Business or Human Resources (preferred).
