Job Summary :
This position will provide leadership and support to the Government Vertical strategic development function and activities. The Director, Strategic Development will work closely with the global sales organization, business unit leaders and vertical / portfolio strategists to identify the best ways to extend and accelerate our marketplace success through the implementation of existing growth strategies and through the creation of future business development growth strategies.

Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Collaborate closely with our sales and our business unit leaders to define the key government vertical strategies that are neccessary to enable revenue growth rates at 2X industry averages.
- Document growth strategy design requirements and develop business case content in support of our growth priority investment asks and to achieve sufficient return on investment metrics.
- Establish and manage an external customer advisory board to faciliate VOC requirement capture and to ensure that are selected portfolio and GTM stratgies are aligned to end-customer priorities.
- Establish and manage an internal strategy steering team to ensure that selected growth priorities are implemented in an efficient, on budget, and on-time manner.
- Created and manage a vertical industry strategy of record document covering a three to five year time horizon and incorporating all portfolio and GTM strategies into a unified single document.
- Help implement both portfolio and go-to-market business development strategies by engaging closely with our sales, partner management, and marketing organizations, and through this process selectively engage in important end-user customer or strategic partner marketplace meetings.
- Lead by example, model Zebra’s core values, deliver results and build strong relationships with all Government Vertical stakeholders and Zebra’s Senior Management.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 15+ yrs relevant experience with 3-5 years to ideally include Corporate Strategy/Development or major business consulting experience, Industry based Technology experience, and Government Experience
- Travel (15% +) required on a business-needs basis
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree
- Ability to build cross- functional consensus: Lead by example in driving partnership initiatives
- Executive level communication and presentation
- Negotiation and persuasion
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills-Strong PowerPoint/ Excel skills
- Ability to leverage and analyze business and market intelligence data to develop strategies/Create business cases
- Ability to act as the corporate spokesperson / evangelist for Zebra in the segment/Partner with BU leadership & Sales Leaders
- Extensive experience developing executive-level business cases for investments in new solutions, segments, or use cases
- Collaborative, dynamic leader able to drive change in an established company; Ability to manage through influence in a matrixed environment
- Exceptional communication skills – both written & verbal – with demonstrated ability to influence executives
- Customer Facing Experience
- Creative problem-solver with a roll-up-your-sleeves approach to leadership

Salary: USD 174400.00 - USD 261600.00 Yearly
Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
Additionally, all Zebra roles are eligible for cash incentive programs. For example, sales roles have additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement.
