We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Laboratory Chemist I to join our
Fallon, NV team. In this position, you will be responsible for performing chemical analyses, conducting laboratory tests, and ensuring quality control of our products. You will work closely with the research and development team, quality assurance personnel, and production staff to maintain product quality and support the development of new formulations.

- Responsibilities:
- Perform testing on inbound, in-process, and outbound samples.
- Perform tank analyses to verify product specifications.
- Develop and review SOPs
- Operate and perform troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation.
- Perform special assignments to assist in lab and plant operations.
- Prepare standards and reagents for use in calibration and analyses
- Provide analytical and other training to lab personnel.
- Use available tools for scheduling, ordering, sample and data storage.
- Develop and implement analytical methods and QA/QC procedures.
- Other duties as assigned
What does it take to work at Clean Harbors?
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related field
- 3+ years of experience in a laboratory setting (industrial preferred)
- GC and/or ICP experience is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
- Good time management and ability to handle multiple projects
- Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and hazardous material handling
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
