Job Specifics and Requirements:
Area: San Antonio, TX
Licensure Requirements: Must have open, active, and in good standing TX Pharmacist License
Education: Pharm. D.
Experience Needed: 2 years
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 4:30pm, on call required
Pay: $70.00
Background/ Drug Requirements: Ability to successfully complete background check, health and drug screen
Pharmacist In Charge
Job Responsibilities:
Managing and supervising pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support personnel
Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations
Overseeing the preparation, dispensing, and distribution of medications
Maintaining accurate records of controlled substances and other medications
Conducting drug utilization reviews and monitoring patient medication therapies
Providing medication counseling and education to patients and healthcare providers
Implementing and maintaining quality assurance programs
Managing inventory, including ordering and stocking medications and supplies
Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
Resolving insurance-related issues and prior authorizations
Developing and implementing pharmacy policies and procedures
Staying current with advancements in pharmaceutical practices and technologies
Participating in continuing education programs and professional development activities
Ensuring the cleanliness, organization, and safety of the pharmacy area
Managing budgets and financial aspects of the pharmacy operations
Handling customer complaints and resolving issues in a professional manner
Conducting regular staff meetings and training sessions
Overseeing the maintenance and calibration of pharmacy equipment
Implementing and maintaining drug safety protocols
Participating in pharmacy and therapeutics committees, as required
