The successful candidate will assist with bridging the gap between business reporting needs and technical solutions. This includes analysis of existing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial planning, reporting, and analytics. This position will provide comprehensive data support to finance users in the West region, addressing needs related to forecasting and planning, and financial analysis. This role involves developing tailored solutions by thoroughly understanding business requirements and collaborating with stakeholders to gather specific needs. Additionally, this role encompasses both project-focused and maintenance/support responsibilities. The successful candidate will utilize analytical tools such as Power BI, Excel, Alteryx, Power Pivot, SQL, Planful Dynamic Planning, and other similar tools to achieve these objectives.

Primary Responsibilities
- Solution Design & Build: Design and build data models, reports, and dashboards and validate solutions that meet business requirements. This also includes supporting the maintenance and enhancement of reporting models currently in production
- Data Management: Perform light data management tasks for Finance-owned artifacts such as finance dimension tables, FP&A assumptions, and mapping tables
- Ad-hoc Analysis/Reporting: Provide direct market support for ad-hoc analysis/reporting needs
- Requirements Elicitation: Conduct interviews, surveys, and workshops to gather detailed business requirements from stakeholders in driving standardization in reporting across the West region
- Stakeholder Management: For various projects, engage with stakeholders to understand their needs, manage expectations, and ensure alignment throughout the project lifecycle
- Documentation: Prepare comprehensive documentation, including business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, and user stories
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Develop test plans, coordinate UAT activities, and ensure that solutions meet the defined requirements
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users to ensure successful adoption of new and existing systems and processes
- Change Management: Assist in developing and implementing change management strategies to facilitate smooth transitions

Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in business/finance analysis
- Working knowledge of relational databases, database structures, and data modeling concepts
- Proficiency in SQL
- Solid technical skills in MS Excel and Power BI
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience designing/building semantic models in PowerBI
- Proven experience in financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting, utilizing tools such as Excel, Planful, and Essbase.
- Experience in automating common ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using tools like Power Query, Python, and Alteryx
- Healthcare industry experience

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with al minimum wage laws as applicable.
