The Accounts Receivable/Cash Application Specialist is responsible for handling, processing cash receipts in order to ensure prompt and accurate application of customer cash receipts in an environment that handles both automated and manual cash application processes. The position is also responsible for handling the processing and coding of offsets, deductions and assist with cash reconciliations. This will require a professional with excellent problem solving skills and experience in Accounts Receivable cash applications as well as require the ability to participate in a collaborative work environment and balance the financial goals supporting the Amneal organization.
Essential Functions:
Applies ACH and W/T payments to customer accounts via Autocash in JD Edwards
Researches and resolves payment discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales; trade promotions / rebates; sales support departments and from customers
Resolves valid or authorized deductions by entering adjustments to customer accounts.
Follows departmental procedures to resolve invalid and unauthorized deductions made by customers
Follows-up on customer request for invoice copies, proofs of delivery, etc. to help facilitate collection of outstanding A/R
Uploads lock box cash receipts from bank website; clears any exceptions; and posts to customer accounts
Provides customers with periodic A/R aging reports to facilitate collection efforts
Promotes the spirit of teamwork and personal accountability in the performance of other duties and responsibilities as requested by department supervisor

Qualifications
Education:
High School or GED - Required
Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) - Preferred
Experience:
2 years or more in relevant Accounts Receivable experience
1 year or more in experience in the Pharmaceutical industry
Skills:
Customer service, organizational and interpersonal skills - Intermediate
Ability to communicate at all levels and with all departments within the company - Intermediate
Excellent work habits including punctuality, attendance, and work ethic along with flexible scheduling hours as needed - Intermediate
Ability to perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workload - Intermediate
