2025 Summer Internship - Government Affairs

Job Description

The intern will work closely with Amneal’s Government Affairs team to support research, policy tracking, and engagement with regulatory and legislative processes. The role offers exposure to FDA regulations, CMS oversight, state and federal legislative activities, and trade association events.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct research on pharmaceutical regulations and marketplace policies to support government affairs initiatives.
  • Attend and summarize policy discussions, including internal briefings, external public hearings, and regulatory events.
  • Monitor and track federal and state legislative activities relevant to pharmaceutical regulations.
  • Assist in developing an organizational structure for team resources and policy documents.
  • Work collaboratively with Government Affairs and other Amneal groups to support strategic initiatives.


Qualifications & Skills:


  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program (preferred majors: History, Political Science, Policy, or Pre-Law).
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to summarize complex policy discussions effectively.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply specialized knowledge in regulatory and legislative affairs.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills to track and organize policy information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across departments.

Qualifications

Education:


  • High School diploma or GED—Required
  • Current full-time enrollment in an accredited college or university undergraduate or graduate program—Required
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0—Required


Additional Requirements:


  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must commit to the full 10-12-week duration of the internship.
