Responsibilities

  • Maintain artwork and due dates as assigned by the Scheduler.
  • Ability to do basic design work.
  • Adjust customer-supplied art to Berry specifications.
  • Follow Artist instructions in graphics tracking software.
  • Prepare mock-ups as needed.
  • Produce color separations for printing plates.
  • Produce color proofs for internal and external customers.
  • Keep digital files organized according to procedures.
  • Follow up on jobs that are out for approval.
  • Ability to communicate well with customers.
  • Take on special projects for other departments as needed.
  • Basic knowledge of printing (dry offset, flexo, silkscreen).
  • Consistently meet acceptable standards of quality and quantity.
  • Contribute to department and corporate goals.
  • Demonstrate a team-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Graphics Arts and/or Printing Technology or equivalent in work experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Extensive experience with Mac operating systems and associated software with emphasis on Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Color vision within normal limits.
  • Visual acuity of at least 20/50 for distance (corrected or uncorrected) and a minimal near vision ability to read 10-12 point type at a distance of 12-18 inches.
