Certified Welding Inspectors & Non-Destructive Testing Technicians

Certified Welding Inspectors (CWI) and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technicians for immediate openings. If you are detail-oriented, passionate about quality, and eager to grow in a supportive environment, we want to hear from you!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct structural steel inspections for fabrication projects of varying sizes and complexities.
- Perform NDT using Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT).
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, including Chapter 17 of the NYC building code and QA/QC requirements.
- Provide timely, detailed inspection reports.
- Collaborate effectively with project teams, clients, and contractors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical or Structural Engineering or Architecture
- 3+ years’ experience inspecting structural steel fabrication of varied in Size and complexity.
- Familiarity with Chapter 17 of the NYC building code.
- Familiarity with Structural Steel Fabrication Shop QA/QC requirements.
- OSHA 30-hour safety training (preferred
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Currently holds a valid certification in SOME or ALL of the following:
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector
- ICC Structural Steel & Bolting Inspector
- ASNT SNT-TC-1A Certified Level II – NDT - Ultrasonic Testing
- ASNT SNT-TC-1A Certified Level II – NDT – Magnetic Particle Testing
- ASNT SNT-TC-1A Certified Level II – NDT – Liquid Penetrant Testing
Other Qualifications:
- Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and clients at all organizational levels
- Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting purposes
- Demonstrated ability to deliver inspection reports promptly and accurately
- Possession of a reliable mode of transportation and a valid driver’s license
- Willingness to pursue additional certifications to enhance professional skills and expertise
- Aptitude for collaborative teamwork as well as the ability to work independently when necessary
- Familiarity with relevant construction industry codes and regulations
Here's a breakdown of what we provide:
Hourly Rate:
$45 - $60
