Job Summary
In this role, you will assist multiple West Services and Solutions Analytical Laboratory teams in a variety of tasks as they relate to the development, maintenance, and coordination of the project schedules in accordance with established scheduling processes. This individual will work under supervision to gather and analyze scheduling data and resource hours.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Utilize various inputs to schedule work according in the laboratory. Inputs could Sharepoint, LIMS, Excel files, Word documents
- Proficiently use MS Office products for data gathering, reporting, and data entry
- Create project schedules for standard projects and large, complex projects taking all customer requirements and available resources into consideration
- Update schedules on a daily/weekly/monthly basis depending on workload
- Perform variance analyses and establish backlogs
- Assist stakeholders with data analysis and reporting
- Identify and forecast scheduling trends and provide recommendations to mitigate risks to project schedule
- Evaluate schedule progress and trends and provide improvement recommendations within your scheduling expertise
- Assist laboratory supervisor, as required, to facilitate project scheduling and prioritization
- Work collaboratively with technical experts, laboratory management, project management, technical writers, and sample administration
- Other duties as assigned
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree plus equivalent experience. Scientific field preferred
Work Experience
- 0-3 years of experience with scheduling tasks or project management experience
- Proficient use of Microsoft products including Excel and Project or alternative scheduling software.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Ability to quickly learn new scheduling software and associated programs
- Ability to work as an individual and as part of a multi-functional team
- Be a self-starter, detail-oriented, and have exceptional organizational skills
- Effective writing and oral communication skills
- Able to be aware of all relevant standard operating procedures as per Company policy as they are related to the position covered by this Job Description
- Support and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities towards delivery of the set target
- Able to comply with the company’s safety policy at all times
- Able to comply with the company’s quality policy at all times.

5%: Up to 13 business days per year
Physical Requirements
Sedentary-Exerting up to 10lbs/4kgs of force occasionally, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
